About 50 percent of homeless women and children in our country are trying to flee from domestic violence. The most common reason that women stay in an abusive relationship is a result of financial dependency and the need for a secure home. Other factors involve fear, spiritual beliefs and not wanting to separate their family structure. I Can Still Shone has a staff that is experienced in tackling these topics and empowering the women and their children to rebuild a better and safer life outside of the abusive relationship.
